A friend described my work as “punk rock art nouveau” when he saw this print. The text came from a thought I had while watching some band that I can’t remember rock out. This print is also meant to be reassuring to those who may have certain existential qualms or concerns about our day and age.
Something lies beneath ready to awake, and another descends into the earth.
This diptych was a further response to the theme of death. Death is a prison which we are all condemned but regardless we rebel against it.
This series of drawings was my response to the theme of death for my drawing class with Daniel Barrow. Hands interest me as they tend to be our primary tool used to interact with the world. Impermanence, futility, and the idea of social roles and the construction of a world view are explored by the protagonist limbs.
these pieces were in response to an assignment on love at school. they represent some of my favourite drawings to date.
